Practice:
I work with a wide variety of people, many coming with back & neck pain, postural and movement limitations, & arthritic conditions. I also work with specific areas of interest including performance (musicians, actors) and sport (runners, climbers, golfers, swimmers) and pre & post-natal care.

Biography:
I have been working as a movement / somatic educator since 1998, and have a background in dance and Pilates. In 2002 I co-founded the Dublin Pilates Studio (2002-6), specialising in developing programmes for back pain, posture, and for pre & post-natal care.

My interest in somatic education began while in dance college, where I was introduced to various mind-body awareness approaches and tool continuing professional development courses in Ideokinesis, and Alexander Technique.

I first came across Feldenkrais Method at a dance workshop in 2001, and later, following a back injury, began lessons with practitioner Sabine Volkmann. These sessions were unlike any other bodywork I had experienced, they opened up a whole new world of movement for me – even after so many years spent working with my body. I recovered from the back injury much stronger than before, and enrolled on a Feldenkrais training in 2005.

From 2007 I moved my practice into the field full-time, finding that Feldenkrais gave me the broadest perspective and skills for effectively helping my clients. Personally, Feldenkrais keeps me healthy and fit for the physical activities I enjoy (rock climbing, hiking) and in helping to manage and deal better with life's stresses and challenges.

I am a member of Feldenkrais Ireland, and the Feldenkrais Guild UK.
