Biography:
My interest in Feldenkrais began about twenty-five years ago when I was working in the publishing industry. I was given a birthday present of six yoga lessons. The teacher had been attending Feldenkrais classes, and they'd transformed the way she taught yoga. Without knowing that it was Feldenkrais that I was doing, I decided that I couldn't live without it.
After each class I slept extremely well and felt calm and refreshed when I woke up. Whatever I did — walking, swimming, or just doing a day's work — I felt a striking improvement in my mental and physical well-being.
When my yoga teacher told me the name of this extraordinary method, I decided to enrol on a Feldenkrais training programme. I trained in Switzerland with Elizabeth Beringer, who emphasised the gentle approach of Feldenkrais as well as its dynamic and practical nature. I'm a passionate believer in this technique and am delighted to be able to pass on what I've learned to others.
