Practice:
My main practice is located at the Natural Health Consultancy in Poole, Dorset where I offer Feldenkrais together with homoeopathy and nutritional advice to give clients a multi-disciplinary approach to long-term good health, based on natural means. I also work in Dorchester, Dorset and at Violet Hill Studios in London NW8.
I work with Feldenkrais with a wide range of clients whose movement has become restricted and painful through injury, illness or the stresses and strains of a busy life. Equally I see clients who want to maintain their ability to move well as they become older.
Biography:
My father was a doctor who had a particular interest in how homoeopathy and nutrition could be integrated into orthodox medical treatment. I knew my destiny lay in following his path and in 1979 I completed a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition at the University of London, followed in 1983 by a diploma in homoeopathy from the Hahnemann College of Homoeopathy.
Around this time I was also teaching yoga and a magazine article sparked my interest in the Feldenkrais Method. It quickly became apparent to me that Feldenkrais would become a major influence in my life. I enrolled in the first Feldenkrais practitioner training course in the UK and graduated in 1990. Over the many years that I have been working with the Method my enthusiasm for this marvelous approach remains undimmed. I am deeply committed to continuing my own professional development and I am currently working with leading edge Feldenkrais trainers such as Jeremy Krauss in Germany. It is also exciting for me to branch out into new fields of study including neurobiology, where I have been trained by David Butler in the mobilization of nerves.
