As a teacher, I bring my intelligence, kindness, positivity and patience to work with my clients and students. We start from where you are, working together to explore the possibilities for change in the way you move, think, act and feel.
I work with a wide range of clients, from all walks of life who wish to improve the way they move.
My individual clients have included singers, musicians, dancers, expectant mothers, children with (and without)special needs, computer programmers, lawyers, accountants to cordon bleu chefs, acupuncturists, osteopaths, and builders.
I've helped people:
* post stroke,
* with spinal injury,
* with Parkinsons,
* with vestibular problems, to
* improving posture, shoulder, neck or back pain and mobility.
* I work with people post surgery, to feel more comfortable in their skin.
* Children (with and without special needs

Emma is both professional viola player and Feldenkrais Method teacher. She brings a wealth of experience – understanding the pressures of standing in front of an audience, and performing at the highest level, whatever the situation. She understands the complexities of being a musician, and how our mind and body can get in the way of performing optimally.
Emma has been teaching the Feldenkrais Method since 2013. She's helped hundreds of musicians improve their posture, restricted movement, chronic tension, shoulder and back pain, RSI, self image, and anxiety.
Emma is passionate about working with musicians, helping musicians be more comfortable playing, and easier in their own skin, so they can enjoy performing more without injury or pain.
She has taught for the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine, Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Future Talent (charity for Young Musicians), Musical-U (online Coaching course for Musicians) and The British Army. Emma has been teaching for the Musicians Union since 2016.
More recently Emma has been running online courses for Musicians, “Reducing Anxiety, improving Stage Presence”. In these Emma teaches about anxiety from a physical standpoint, giving a toolbox of resources for those dealing with anxiety, no matter what stage of the profession they’re in.
Emma has 20+ years experience teaching children violin/viola, together with the Feldenkrais Method. Combining music and Feldenkrais is a positive way to work with very young children, or those with autism, allowing rhythm, song or movement to become part of a musical movement game we play together. ( I have an up to date Extended DBV Check)
Emma is an active member of the Feldenkrais community- She teaches (at Experienced Practitioner level) on the London Professional Feldenkrais Professional Trainings, run by Scott Clark.
Emma has been on the Committee for the UK Guild for 8 years, including roles as Vice-Chair and EuroTABCouncil member. She’s currently the UK International Feldenkrais Foundation rep. And facilitate "Cultivate Your Practice" workshops for colleagues to help them improve their practice, as well as clarity on authentic marketing and website strategy.
