As a riding coach I predominantly work with horse riders, although I also work with the general public and other groups.
A keen horse rider from my earliest years, I competed up to Intermediate in One Day Eventing, and qualified as a BHSAI when 19. After leaving school I worked in Sales and Marketing roles for over 20 years. Throughout that time I continued to own and ride horses, although I was in chronic pain and receiving regular chiropractic treatment. My life changed when in 2000 I started training with Mary Wanless (RWYM) and was introduced to the Feldenkrais Method by Shelagh O'Neill. I gradually discovered more and more relief from my pain. I was hooked, and in 2002 commenced my Feldenkrais training in Italy. In 2003 I became an accredited Ride With Your Mind Coach. In 2004 I was made redundant from my marketing position and jumped at the opportunity to change careers, to share my riding and Feldenkrais with others. I was based with Mary Wanless at Overdale Equestrian Centre, for 18 years. I'm now based near Lampter and also travel to my clients in their own homes.
